AHL Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting Korean artists, is proud to present the solo exhibition of installation artist Tai Hwa Goh being held this coming Tuesday, February 25th until June 30th at the Bank of Hope Manhattan Branch (16 W 32nd St, New York, NY 10001).

This exhibition was put together by AHL Foundation Curator, Grace Park and Co-curator, Seung-hee Hwang, as part of AHL Foundation’s ‘Art in the Workplace’ program. Art in the Workplace is an exhibition program run by AHL Foundation since 2013 that seeks to raise awareness of the creative activities of promising artists and focuses on promoting them within the business community.

The exhibition will feature the delicate paper installation works of artist Tai Hwa Goh. Holding an interest in how memories and experiences are reflected in a biological form, Goh welds together 3D objects using cut and folded prints. Through these works, visitors can feel the tension of the contrast between the industrial manufactured and the handcrafted, and joyful tropical fantasies and artificial debris within a regular, everyday space. This tension is the motif of the artist’s work, exploring conflicting opposites by using traditional techniques and expressing unique emotions.

After completing her B.A. in Painting at Seoul National University, Tai Hwa Goh received an M.A. in Printmaking & Sculpture from the University of Maryland. She is currently based in New Jersey and has had her works introduced through numerous museum exhibitions and international residencies. Goh was the Gold Award winner of the 2017 AHL-T&W Foundation Visual Art Award.

The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Bank of Hope Manhattan Branch.
