The AHL Foundation Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of two newly acquired works to the AHL Collection, generously donated by an anonymous donor in support of our mission of fostering appreciation for contemporary Korean artists. In celebration of these acquisitions, we are introducing the AHL Open Library, a thoughtfully curated space where visitors are invited to read, reflect, and exchange knowledge in an environment enriched by art.

Introducing the AHL Open Library

The AHL Foundation’s Open Library offers free access to a diverse selection of Korean artist catalogs, The Archive of Korean Artists in America(AKAA) published by the AHL Foundation, and past exhibition catalogs. Through this initiative, we hope the gallery will serve as a dynamic community space for collective learning and meaningful conversation.

Additionally, we hope the Open Library will serve as a cultural exchange hub, introducing the public to Korean art and artists, and fostering greater cross-cultural understanding and engagement.

We invite visitors to explore the AHL Open Library and engage more deeply with the AHL Collection. Please note that all books are for in-gallery use only. The AHL Open Library follows gallery hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 12 PM to 6 PM.

The newly acquired works include:

박승모 Seungmo Park, Maya 428, Stainless steel mesh
40 x 39 1/2 x 3 1/8 inch, 2016.

곽선경 Sun K. Kwak, Study from Life force, acrylic paint, 53.5 x 80 inch, 2019.
