The AHL Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting Korean and Korean American artists, is pleased to present hUStle: New Work from Artistic Noise, an exhibition hosted by Artistic Noise—a Harlem-based arts nonprofit—at the AHL Foundation Gallery beginning July 17, 2026, as part of its Space Partnership Program.
For the past 25 years, Artistic Noise has empowered young people (ages 14-22) affected by the juvenile justice, foster care, shelter, probation, and mental health systems through collaborative artmaking and creative development programs. By providing access to artistic resources, mentorship, and professional opportunities, the organization supports young artists in cultivating their voices, building community, and envisioning new possibilities for their futures.
hUStle brings together artworks created over the past year by participants in Artistic Noise’s Art & Entrepreneurship, Art & Care, and Alumni Artist in Residence programs. Working across a diverse range of mediums, the artists examine contemporary life through subjects including U.S. politics, political activism, personal identity, and the realities of living in New York City. The exhibition highlights how young artists engage with the social, economic, and cultural forces that shape their everyday experiences.
The exhibition title, hUStle, evokes both the energy of urban life and the labor required to navigate it. From the constant motion of the city to the side hustles and daily efforts that sustain individuals and communities, the works on view reflect the resilience, creativity, and self-determination of a generation confronting complex realities while imagining new futures.
All artworks will be available for purchase, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the young artists who created them.
This exhibition is part of the AHL Foundation’s Space Partnership Program, which provides opportunities for artists, curators, and cultural organizations to present their work while fostering meaningful engagement with diverse audiences. The opening reception will be held on Friday, July 17, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The exhibition will remain on view through Saturday, August 1, and will be open to the public during gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

AHL Foundation(한국 및 한국계 미국인 예술가를 지원하는 비영리단체)은 Space Partnership Program의 일환으로, 할렘을 기반으로 활동하는 예술 비영리단체 Artistic Noise가 주최하는 전시 **《hUStle: New Work from Artistic Noise》**를 2026년 7월 17일부터 AHL Foundation Gallery에서 개최한다.
지난 25년간 Artistic Noise는 소년사법제도, 위탁가정, 보호시설, 보호관찰 및 정신건강 시스템의 영향을 받은 14세부터 22세의 청소년과 청년을 대상으로 협업 중심의 예술 창작과 창의적 성장 프로그램을 운영해 왔다. 예술적 자원과 멘토십, 전문적인 활동 기회를 제공함으로써 젊은 예술가들이 자신의 목소리를 발견하고 공동체를 형성하며 새로운 미래를 그려나갈 수 있도록 지원하는 단체이다.
**《hUStle》**는 지난 1년 동안 Artistic Noise의 Art & Entrepreneurship, Art & Care, 그리고 Alumni Artist in Residence 프로그램 참여자들이 제작한 작품을 한자리에 모은 전시이다. 다양한 매체를 통해 작업한 작가들은 미국 정치와 사회운동, 개인의 정체성, 그리고 뉴욕에서 살아가는 현실 등 동시대의 다양한 주제를 탐구한다. 이번 전시는 젊은 예술가들이 자신들의 일상을 형성하는 사회적·경제적·문화적 환경에 어떻게 반응하고 이를 예술로 풀어내는지를 조명한다.
전시 제목 **《hUStle》**는 도시의 역동적인 에너지와 그 속에서 살아가기 위해 필요한 노동을 동시에 의미한다. 빠르게 움직이는 도시의 리듬부터 생계를 위한 다양한 일과 일상의 노력에 이르기까지, 전시에 소개되는 작품들은 복잡한 현실을 마주하면서도 새로운 미래를 상상하는 한 세대의 회복력과 창의성, 그리고 주체성을 보여준다.
전시 작품은 모두 구매 가능하며, 판매 수익금의 100%는 작품을 제작한 젊은 예술가들에게 직접 전달된다.
이번 전시는 AHL Foundation의 Space Partnership Program의 일환으로 진행된다. 이 프로그램은 예술가, 큐레이터, 문화예술단체에게 전시 공간을 제공하고 다양한 관객과의 의미 있는 교류를 촉진하는 것을 목표로 한다.
